This week long autumnal festival of Bengal is a shinning example of secularism and the most vibrant , artistic , colorful with immense human interaction event of the world which is why it has been termed as the biggest Socio Cultural event of the world.

It is more than a festival or carnival. It is a power of rejuvenation , reunion , unabashed fervor , mother of joy , happiness and love among people from all religion , caste and creed. It is an opportunity to step out of the drudgery of everyday life and experience spiritual joy , a philosophy that does not distance religion but embraces people closer.

This event is a year long involvement & planning of conceiving a theme from ancient mythology to modern arts and executing and commissioning into temporary structures of around 400 of them in the entire city which are made of bamboo , cloth , decorative items , straw , earthen and wastage material are called “Pandals” with the help of artisians & skilled craftsman who work for at least six months every year to give it a shape.

Durga Puja is a platform of art which is an expression of the society and is nourished & enriched by the existence of creative , expressive and innovative community which you will experience while exploring Durga Puja with its creation of awe inspiring Pandals , thematic lights & idols , festive cheers and participation which easily runs short of superlatives to describe the beauty of it in all fashions.

Journey Plan

Day 1/Day 2 /26 Sept (Thursday):

Leaving from Paris/Madrid by Air India

27 Sept (Friday):

Arriving into Delhi from for transfer by road to Agra. Meet and assist on arrival at Delhi International Airport for visitor arriving AI 136 from Madrid/ 142 from Paris at 1100 hours and transfer to Agra through Delhi – Agra Express way. Distance 240 km, time take 5 hours. En route lunch at the Expressway stop. Check in at Trident/ Hilton Agra (5*). Early Dinner and overnight at hotel in Agra.

Day 2/ 28 Sept (Saturday) Agra:

Early morning wake up call at 5 am. Early morning visit to Taj Mahal famous building and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Return to hotel and breakfast at hotel. Visit to Agra fort situated on the west bank of Yamuna build by Emperor Akbar. Lunch at a Local restaurant. Evening visit to the local market and shopping. Dinner at hotel overnight at the hotel in Agra.

Day 3/29 Sept (Sunday) Agra to Jaipur:

After Breakfast proceed to Jaipur (distance 250km) en route visit fatehpur Sikri, Panch Mahal and Buland Darwaza Lunch at a local restaurant. Check in into Hotel Trident / Hilton Jaipur (5*). Evening cultural show.  Dinner and overnight at hotel in Jaipur.

Day 4/30 Sept (Monday) Jaipur:

Breakfast. visit to Amber fort, build by Raja Maa Singh.Explore the fort and later visit the city palace museum, Hawa Mahal, Lunch at the local restaurant. Late afternoon visit to the market. Free for shopping. Dinner at hotel. Overnight and dinner at the hotel at Jaipur.

Day 5/01 Oct (Tuesday) Jaipur to Delhi:

After breakfast proceed to Delhi (distance 300km), en route lunch. Check in at Maidens Hotel (5*). Late afternoon visit Jama Masjid, explore street by street Chandni Chowk local market and evening light and sound show at Red fort. Dinner at hotel and overnight at hotel in Delhi.

Day 6/02 Oct (Wednesday) Delhi to Khajuraho:

Breakfast. Visit India Gate, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan. Rajpati, Vijay Chowk, Jantar Mantar. Lunch at hotel, late afternoon visit Rajghat, National Museum and proceed to H Nizamuddin Railway Station to board UP Samprkri Departure : 2010 hours and arriving Khajuraho at 0635 + (next day 03 Oct)

Day 7/03 Oct (Thursday) Khajuraho:

Early check in a Radisson/Ramada/Taj Chandela Hotel. Breakfast at hotel. Start exploring the brilliant burst of artistic creation of the Chandela rules. their, Nagar style architecture symbolizing erotic sculptures and seductress temples that has been recognized internationally with accreditation of world heritage site. Lunch at hotel/local restaurant. Evening get a glimpse of the rural style of Khajuraho. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Khajuraho.

Day 8/04 Oct (Friday) Khajuraho to Varansi:

After breakfast check out and proceed to airport to take Jet Airways 2424 departing 1345 hrs and arriving Varanasi at 1435. Transfer straight from Airport to the Ghats of the river Ganges to experience and witness ‘Ganga Arti’ ceremony. The evening rituals prayer performed everyday at the sunset to the river Ganges. Check in at Taj Ganges or similar (5*). Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9/05 Oct (Saturday) Varanasi to Kolkata:

Wake up call at 3:30 am with morning tea at the hotel lobby to proceed for an early morning boat ride on the river Ganga followed by a short walking tour of the temples. Return back to hotel for a breakfast. After breakfast, explore the Sarnath museum, visit to local weavers of the exquisite maternal creation of Sarees and Dress materials. Back to hotel. Lunch at hotel and check-out of the hotel to proceed to airport to take flights 6E 716 departing at 1930 hrs and arriving at 2019 into Kolkata. Meet, greet and transfer to check in at ITC Sonar the Luxury Brand of (5*) Deluxe Hotel. Welcome Dinner and Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 – 03 Oct (Tuesday) :

Morning Flight by AI 21 Departure: 1000 hours and  Arrive Delhi at 1200 Hours. Direct transfer by AC Coach to Rishikesh, a place of saints, sages and scholars situated in the foothills of the Himalayas and on the bank of river Ganges. Distance 220 Kms. En route Lunch at a local restaurant. Check in at Ganga Beach Hotel or Ganga Resort Hotel on the banks of the river Ganges. Visit to ghats and evening Ganga Aarti. Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 15 – 04 Oct (Wednesday) :

Breakfast. Visit to Ashram for Yoga session. Lunch at the Hotel. Visit to Haridwar, situated on the foothills of the Sivalik, represents the point where the Ganga reaches the plain. It is famous for being blessed by trinity of Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. The name Haridwar (Hardwar) has been derived from two words, ‘Har’ means Shiva, ‘Hari’ means Vishnu, and Dwar means gate. Haridwar is thus the gateway to the two holy shrines of Shiva and Vishnu. Evening Ganga Aarti. Back to Rishikesh. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 16- 05 Oct (Thursday) :

Breakfast. Visit to Mussorie, the Queen of the Hill Stations (80 Kms). Spend the entire day. Lunch at a Local Restaurant. Back to Rishikesh in the evening. Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 17- 06 Oct  (Friday) :

Breakfast. Travel  to Delhi. Check in at Maidens Oberoi. Shopping in Delhi. Dinner at the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 18- 07 Oct (Saturday) :

Breakfast. Transfer to airport to connect AI 135  Departure: 1500 Hours and Arrival : 2120 Hours.
